Why Whitewater?

The Whitewater Unified School District has the educational programming typically found in large districts, but with the opportunity to provide this programming in a small school setting. These programs are delivered by talented and caring professionals from not only WUSD but the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater as well. This partnership is truly remarkable and of significant benefit to our students.

The community of Whitewater is an ideal place to raise a family. The safe and welcoming atmosphere has endless opportunities for family involvement. The Park and Recreation program, Arts Alliance, and UW-Whitewater activities are but of few of these opportunities that allow families to spend time with one another.

Why Whitewater?
Because it is a wonderful place for kids and their families.

Now in my thirteenth year as building leader, I am honored to serve as principal of Washington Elementary School. Long known as a learning community dedicated to developing the whole-child and having a warm and positive atmosphere, Washington certainly is "all about kids". Thanks to a highly professional staff and involved families, children are at the center of our decision- making.

I welcome you to visit our beautiful building. Once you step foot in our doors, you will feel the inviting atmosphere that Washington Elementary School has long been known for.
