WHS PIE Biology 142 students were out in the field last week conducting an observational study on red-winged blackbirds! They're gaining hands-on experience with ecological research methods, while getting an up-close look at these fascinating birds in their natural habitat. It's inspiring to see their curiosity and enthusiasm in action as they connect classroom learning with real-world science! PIE stands for Partners in Education, and is a program that allows our students to earn UW-Whitewater credit for the course taken here at the high school.
